LEARN TO USE PAGES BY EARNING AN IPAD BADGE
Pages is a word processing app that can be used to create visually appealing newsletters, posters, reports, and more. Such documents can be customized with different fonts, images, tables, charts, shapes, etcetera. I have never worked with pages, so I was excited to learn there was an Apple Teacher Learning Center badge for the app. I wish I had learned about this app sooner, though! Working with Pages takes me back to my yearbook editing days. I've always enjoyed page layout design. With Pages, users can start with a blank document and work from the ground up, or they can choose from one of many templates. It's an incredibly easy way to take documents to the next level. I won't go into detail about how to edit images or wrap text. You can learn about those features by earning the Pages for iPad badge! Perhaps my favorite Pages feature is the ability to collaborate with others. This can be done with iOS 10, macOS Sierra, and the newest version of Pages on any iPad, MacBook, or iPhone. PC devices can also be used for collaboration with iCloud.com. Similar to collaboration on Google Docs, it's possible to allow others to access a Pages document to view it or make changes. You can add people to your document using Messages, Mail, or by sending them a link. With Pages, it is also possible to track changes and leave comments. This is an extremely helpful tool for teachers when reviewing a student's project. To add a comment, simply select an object, text, or table cell and tap "Comment" in the pop-up menu. To track changes in a document, tap the button in the top, right-hand corner that looks like an ellipsis. Tap "Change Tracking" and turn on "Tracking." This allows you to see every edit made to the document. Go get your Apple Teacher Pages for iPad badge and learn all about the amazing features that Pages has to offer! You will not be sorry! |
