Anyway, back to her website iLearn Technology... I absolutely love it! 😍 When I visited her site for the first time, I immediately read her latest post, "DragonBox Math Apps: Teaching Students to Think Like Mathematicians." In each of her app reviews, she explains what the app is, how it can be used in the classroom, and any related tips or tricks. According to Tenkely, the DragonBox app teaches users algebra without actually using algebra. Users unlock levels by balancing an equation. I wanted to check out the app for myself, but it is unfortunately not free. Tenkely did note that the DragonBox Suite of Math Apps is available at a discounted price for schools and with bulk purchases. Teachers can access the apps for free before purchasing them for students. I'll have to do more investigating, but, based on Tenkely's descriptions, DragonBox sounds like an incredible math tool.
In Tenkely's post, "Mathigon: Engage, Play, and Explore Math," she reviews the wonderful resource that mathigon is. This site is free, so I was able to check it out for myself. IT IS AMAZING!!! Mathigon is an online, interactive textbook that offers resources for grades 6-12, as well as college subjects and recreational facets of math. I'm looking forward to using some its resources for my own college math courses. The website is fairly new, so it is still being added to. Watch this Mathigon video to learn more:

iLearn Technology contains reviews of TONS of amazing resources. Several of my favorites include "YouCubed: Think Like a Mathematician," "Woot Math: Adaptive Learning for Fractions and Decimals," and "SumBlox: Explore Number Relationships through Visual/Kinesthetic Play." I only explored those related to math and science, but Tenkely has reviewed just as many resources for other subjects. Check out iLearn Technology to discover more!
