iMovie Trailer ReflectionI created this iMovie trailer with my friend, Kaylee, who is also a K-State student and future math teacher. This trailer is a result of our investigation of the iMovie iPad app features. The iPad iMovie app is so much fun! If you click on the picture at right, it will take you to the app store, where you can download the iMovie app for FREE!
iMovie is very easy to use and can be used in a variety of ways. We made a short trailer entitled, "Why you should be a Math Teacher." To begin a trailer, you must choose a theme. iMove offers 14 fun themes, entitled things such as "Romance, Fairy Tale, Adrenaline, Superhero, Scary," etcetera. We used the "Retro" theme. Each theme can be customized by inserting original titles, photos, and videos. We used photos that we took in and around Bluemont Hall. The app pulls the photos and videos directly from your camera roll, which makes the trailer-making process a very easy one. We completed our trailer and exported it in less than half an hour. Keep in mind that younger students may not be able to work so efficiently. Creating an iMovie trailer to introduce a new topic is a great way to utilize iMovie for the classroom. iMovie can also be used to edit full-length videos. The possibilities with iMovie really are endless. Download the iMovie app for yourself and discover all of its awesome features! The Apple Teacher Learning Center badge program is also a great way to learn details about the app. Discover more about the iMovie badge here. |
