Hello!
I am a sophomore at Kansas State University, majoring in both mathematics and secondary education. I'm a calculus nerd and look forward to sharing my love for derivatives and integrals with the next generation. Originally, I was a mechanical/industrial engineering major. After two semesters, I realized I was more passionate about math and felt education was calling my name. In fact, I like to think that education is in my blood. I've come from a long line of educators. My mother, two aunts, grandmother, grandfather, great-aunt, and four cousins have all served as teachers, coaches, and/or administrators. I'm excited to learn from my family as I enter this career field. Outside of academics, I'm involved in my sorority (Kappa Kappa Gamma), Christian Challenge, and Young America's Foundation. I also work as a hostess, waitress, and manager at Trails Cafe in Holton, KS. I'm a Northeast Kansas native and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Holton High School. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, doodling, traveling, hiking, water-skiing, reading, and making memories with my friends and family. The purpose of this website is to share my experiences as I learn how to educate tomorrow's youth. I'm not naturally organized, tech-savvy, or eloquent, but I'm improving. Thank you for visiting my site! I hope you enjoy what you find! Sincerely, Sonora Sheldon |
